Camas — With weather forecasts calling for rain, the Downtown Camas Association decided to push back the Camas Car Show from July 9 to Aug. 6, but the delay didn’t hurt the turnout. The 11th annual Camas Car Show featured 206 registered cars, a record for the event, and about 5,000 people checking out all the cars lining the streets of downtown Camas. The Best in Show award went to a 1948 GMC pickup owned by Janelle and Richard Cummins of Camas, and Sheri Snedeker’s 1996 Excalibur earned the People’s Choice award. As the Best in Show winner, the Cummins’ GMC will be used on the poster and in marketing materials for next year’s show.
