A man who committed multiple residential burglaries in Vancouver and Portland was sentenced Monday in Clark County Superior Court to seven years in prison.
Ryan S. Hentz, 32, of Vancouver pleaded guilty in four different cases to six counts of residential burglary, two counts of attempting to elude police, one count each of first- and second-degree possession of stolen property, and one count of third-degree malicious mischief, third-degree theft and first-degree trafficking in stolen property.
All of the crimes were committed between December 2014 and February 2016 in Clark County, court records show. When Hentz was captured in March, he had warrants for his arrest in some of the earlier cases.
Hentz was also wanted in connection with a March 4 residential burglary at a Hayden Island condominium. A neighbor confronted the burglar, later identified as Hentz, who fled in a Honda, according to the Portland Police Bureau. A resident in North Portland found images of Hentz on a home surveillance system, taken two days earlier.
