ASHFORD, Wash. — Entrance to Mount Rainier National Park will be free on Aug. 25 through 28 as part of the National Park Service centennial celebration.
Activities, demonstrations and volunteer service projects are planned from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Aug. 25 at Longmire, Paradise, Ohanapecosh and Sunrise.
Other free admission days in 2016 include Sept. 24 and Nov. 11.
A single vehicle entry fee costs $25 and grants unlimited entry for seven consecutive days.
Other fees, such as camping fees, still apply on the free admission days.
