Ridgefield – The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and Friends of the Ridgefield National Wildlife Refuge are inviting the public to the first of three public meetings on the future look and use of the Community & Nature Center.

The center will be a new community building at the refuge designed to help people explore connections among the community, daily life and nature.

Officials want input from the public to help inform the design and future use of the new building. The meeting will be from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the Water Resources Education Center, 4600 S.E. Columbia Way, Vancouver. Anyone interested in contributing ideas on the future of the building is invited to attend.
