La Center — Hallie Nelson, 15, was named Miss Teen La Center on July 23 at the Miss Teen La Center Scholarship Program Pageant.
Nelson will be a junior at La Center High School in the fall and was named to the court at last year’s pageant. For the talent portion of the pageant, she played ukulele and sang “Lost Boy” by Ruth B. Nelson. She has been on the La Center cheer team for the past two years and will be an assistant cheer coach for the Southwest Youth Cheer organization in Vancouver this month.
The rest of the court was: La Center High School junior Mia Crocker, who took first runner up; La Center High School junior Emmyleigh Storm, who took second runner up; La Center High School sophomore Grace Nolan, who took third runner up; and La Center High School freshman Dayna Hines, who took fourth runner up.
