After several weeks of remodeling work, the Vancouver Police Department’s West Precinct building, at 2800 N.E. Stapleton Road, will re-open to the public Monday.

The building had been closed since July 1 for construction. Construction will continue over the next few weeks, but shouldn’t limit public access, the department said.

The work is preparing the building for the department’s planned records unit, which will begin operating at the start of 2017.

Front counter services are available at the west and east precinct building, 520 S.E. 155th Ave., 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Both locations will accept unwanted medications during business hours.
