Battle Ground — The Clark County Newcomers Club raised $15,498.24 for Northwest Battle Buddies, which will cover the cost of pairing up a trained service dog with a local veteran.
It’s the second year in a row the Newcomers Club has donated a dog to the Battle Buddies, which provides service dogs to veterans with post-traumatic stress disorder.
The club had major help from two donors, one of whom matched all donations up to $5,000 and another who donated $5,000.
