Ridgefield – A section of Carty Road from Northwest Hillhurst Road east to Northeast 10th Avenue is open again after being closed down for a culvert replacement in mid-June.
The culvert carries Gee Creek under Carty Road, just east of Northwest Ecklund Road. Work was necessary after the culvert partially collapsed in several places earlier this year and portions of the embankment slid toward the creek.
Final paving and some other work still needs to be completed, but that will require only single-lane closures.
The work is expected to last through September.
