The third and final community forum for the Westside Mobility Strategy planning process will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Vancouver Community Library, 901 C St., Vancouver.
In February 2015, the city launched a study to determine how Vancouver’s four arterials (39th Street, Northwest 78th Street, and Mill Plain and Fourth Plain boulevards) could manage freight traffic needs while preserving neighborhoods. The goal is to develop a network strategy to manage conflicts and recommend improvements for neighborhoods and industry.
The mobility project team has finished the traffic scenario modeling process and developed draft recommendations for the plan. Following a short presentation Tuesday, display boards will be set up to show key parts of the strategy, and staff will be on hand to answer questions.
The draft document will be released for public comment after the meeting.
