TILLAMOOK, Ore. — Anglers in the Tillamook Bay and Nestucca River basins of Oregon can fish with two rods beginning Sunday and continuing through July 31.
The Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife announced Tuesday that anglers with the two-rod validation on their fishing license can use two rods when after hatchery spring chinook and hatchery steelhead in in Tillamook and Nestucca bays, plus the Tillamook, Miami, Trask, Nestucca, Kilchis, Little Nestucca and Three rivers.
Oregon recently began allowing two rods in the Willamette River and its tributaries.
Two-rod validations in Oregon cost $21.50. The validation mostly applies in ponds and lakes. Youth age 11 and younger do not need the validation to use a second rod.
