La Center — The next Green Neighbors Recycling Day is 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at Holley Park, 1000 E. Fourth St., La Center. La Center is organizing the event with Green Neighbors, a Clark County Department of Environmental Services program.
Residents can drop off block foam, electronic equipment, tires without rims, refrigerators, freezers, air conditioning units and scrap metal to be recycled. There is a limit of five tires per person. No business waste or household hazardous waste will be accepted. Household hazardous waste includes paint, pesticides, poison, automotive fluid and chemicals.
Saturday’s event also will offer shredding, limited to two banker boxes per person.
Recycling Day events are free and open to all Clark County residents. Proof of residency, such as a driver’s license or other identification with an address, might be required.
