PORTLAND — The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has released the draft environmental assessment for ecosystem restoration at Columbia Stock Ranch and is seeking public comment.

The site, located on the Oregon side of the Columbia River near Kalama, was purchased by the Vancouver-based Columbia Land Trust in 2011.

The Army Corps plans to restore connectivity between the Columbia Stock Ranch project site and the Columbia River, with the goal of improving survival of young fish. The draft assessment is available on the Corp’s website: www.nwp.usace.army.mil/Media/Announcements.aspx.

Questions and comments on the document should be sent to Joyce Casey, 503-808-4760, or Joyce.E.Casey@usace.army.mil.

Comments, postmarked by May 25, can be mailed to: District Engineer, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Attn: CENWP-PM-E/Joyce Casey, P.O. Box 2946 Portland, Oregon 97208-2946.
