Week 5 spring sports prep athlete of the week nominees

Weekly vote, sponsored by Athletes Corner, continues through Thursday

Here are the nominees for The Columbian spring sports prep athlete of the week, sponsored by Athletes Corner, for the week ending April 23.

Voting will continue until 8 p.m. Thursday, with results announced in Friday’s edition of The Columbian.

MIAH ANTHONY, SKYVIEW SOFTBALL: Anthony went 4 for 9 with a double and two RBI and pitched Skyview to two victories.

REILLY BURKE, COLUMBIA RIVER SOCCER: Burke recorded eight saves, allowed just one goal in three River wins.

KEDRICK JOHNSON, HOCKINSON BOYS TRACK: Johnson was the outstanding athlete of the Bruin Invite, winning the 100, long jump and triple jump.

SAM LAUDERDALE, KING’S WAY CHRISTIAN BASEBALL: Lauderdale struck out seven in throwing a no-hitter vs. Kalama and also hit his first career home run in the win.

CALEIGH LOFSTEAD, CAMAS GIRLS TRACK: Lofstead set a personal best by clearing 13-0 in a league meet, then broke that by winning the McMinnville Invitational at 13-3.
