Clark County Democratic Women host candidates at tea

Lincoln — The Clark County Democratic Women hosted its first Scottish Afternoon Tea Fundraiser at the Historic Covington House Cabin on April 11, complete with bagpipes. Musical group Rune Song played traditional Scottish jigs, and piper Annette Allen played the bagpipes on the grounds as guests arrived, as well as offering a rendition of “Auld Lang Syne” as the event ended and guests were leaving. Tea and scones were served to more than 40 guests as they listened to speakers state Rep. Sharon Wylie, D-Vancouver, state Sen. Karen Fraser, D-Olympia, who is running for lieutenant governor, David McDevitt, who running in the 3rd congressional District, as well as Vancouver City Council members Anne McEnerny-Ogle and Ty Stober. All of the funds raised at the event will go to supporting Democratic candidates in 2016 and causes important to the Clark County Democratic Women.
