Here are the nominees for The Columbian spring sports prep athlete of the week, sponsored by Athletes Corner, for the week ending ending April 16.

Voting will continue until 8 p.m. Thursday, with results announced in Friday’s edition of The Columbian.

TEAGHAN COWLES, COLUMBIA RIVER SOFTBALL: Cowles went 8 for 9 with two home runs and nine RBI in two league wins for the Chieftains.

CONNOR JENSEN, SKVYIEW BOYS TRACK AND FIELD: Jensen placed fifth in the shot put and fifth in the discus at the Oregon Relays.

CHLOE LINDBO, RIDGEFIELD GIRLS TRACK AND FIELD: Lindbo won the 400 meters, 800 meters and high jump at the John Ingram Twilight meet.

KALLIE SAKAMOTO, WASHOUGAL GIRLS GOLF: Sakamoto tied for the best score at the Chieftain Invite, shooting a 78 and losing on a tiebreaker.

MAX RANDLE, BATTLE GROUND BASEBALL: Randle went 7 for 13 with two doubles, a home run and three RBI in four games for the Tigers.
