Public tips have helped Battle Ground police track down a trailer stolen from a local church and cite a motor home driver for hit-and-run.

On April 13 police asked for help identifying a motor home that struck property near the corner of Northeast Grace Avenue and 10th Street earlier this month. A tip led police to Bryan C. Peake, 28, who is from Kansas and now staying in Oregon City, Ore. Peake was cited for hit-and-run, according to the police.

Tips also led to the recovery of a trailer stolen from North Creek Church in Battle Ground on April 6, police said.

The trailer was carrying sound equipment used for church services. It was recovered in Vancouver, apparently with all of the missing sound gear.
