Clark baseball sweeps DH against Clackamas

Chase Vanek pitched a complete game five-hitter as the Clark College baseball team beat Clackamas 3-2 on Friday at Kindsfather Field.

Clark completed the NWAC South region doubleheader sweep with a 10-7 victory in the second game.

Vanek (2-2) struck out nine and walked two in nine innings.

Clark scored all its runs in the seventh inning on two hits and two errors, overcoming a 2-0 deficit. (Click here for Game 1 boxscore)

In the second game, Marco Murillo was 3 for 4 with two RBI, Parker Woodley was 2 for 4 with an RBI, and Ian Sugrue had two RBI for Clark (9-14, 7-3). (Click here for Game 2 boxscore)

The teams will complete the four-game series with a doubleheader at noon today at Clackamas.
