50-plus connections expo set for May 1

Those 50 and older can get connected to resources and amenities at the Connections Expo, happening Sunday, May 1, at the Hilton Vancouver Washington. The event is noon to 4 p.m. at the hotel’s convention center, 301 W. Sixth St. It’s organized by the Human Services Council’s Volunteer Connections program and The Messenger Newspaper.

Exhibitors will have information regarding travel, recreation, health care, nutrition, housing, finances and volunteerism. There will be seminars every 45 minutes.

The event is free, although suggested $5 donations will be accepted at the door to benefit Volunteer Connections. Also, raffle tickets will be available for purchase.
