Clark baseball swept by Chemeketa

The Clark College baseball team dropped a pair of games to Chemeketa on Friday.

Chemeketa, the NWAC South division leader, beat Clark 7-2 and 3-0 at Kindsfather Field.

Marco Murillo drove in both Clark runs in the bottom of the ninth inning in the first game. Brandon Zimmerman was 2 for 4.

Clark had four hits and left 11 men on base. (Click here for complete boxscore)

In the second game, Clark had five hits but couldn’t push a run home. Brendan Griffith was 3 for 3 for the Penguins (6-13, 4-2). (Click here for complete boxscore)

The same two teams meet again on Saturday at Salem, Ore.
