Furry Friends honors volunteers, who logged record number of hours

East Minnehaha — Nonprofit Furry Friends recently honored those who volunteered for the organization in 2015.

A record 13,339 hours were donated by more than 115 volunteers in 2015. Volunteers were honored at a lunch at Heathen Brewery in Vancouver with gift bags, presents and raffle prizes.

The top three volunteers with the most hours each were acknowledged for their contributions.

Katherine Tucker logged the most hours, with 335. Tonya Cutis followed her with 271 hours, and Marilyn Forker was close behind at 252 hours. Furry Friends is a nonprofit, no-kill organization that rescues and adopts out homeless, relinquished and abused cats in Clark County. It is run 100 percent by volunteers.
