Hazel Dell — Many people spent at least part of the last week or two hunting for eggs, and those who attended the Community Easter Egg Hunt on March 19 at St. John Lutheran Church were no different.

It was a bright, sunny day, and 1,700 candy-filled eggs were hidden around the property for children (and a few adults) to grab as quickly as they could. After the hunt, the 120 attendees were offered hot dogs and homemade mac and cheese from the church’s kitchen crew.

As is tradition at the church, the egg hunt was held the Saturday the week before Easter Sunday.
