Hazardous waste collection expanded

Vancouver — Starting April 15, the Central Transfer and Recycling Center will be open 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. Fridays for household hazardous waste disposal. That’s in addition to the Saturday and Sunday schedule.

Central Transfer and Recycling Center is at 11034 N.E. 117th Ave.

Clark County residents can also dispose of household hazardous waste at:

• West Vancouver Materials Recovery Center, 6601 N.W. Old River Road, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays.

• Washougal Transfer Station, 4020 S. Grant St., 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the third Saturday of the month.

Any resident using the transfer stations through Oct. 31 can enter to win a $20 gift card.
