Two people were injured in a crash that law enforcement officials said was caused by a driver who made an illegal U-turn on Interstate 205 Thursday night.

Micheal Craft, 23, of Kelso had parked his 1995 Nissan Pathfinder SUV on the right shoulder of I-205 northbound just north of Padden Parkway when he tried to make an illegal U-turn about 9:30 p.m. and collided with a northbound 2014 Dodge Caravan van, according to Washington State Patrol.

Both Craft and the driver of the van, Antonio Sparrow, 45, of Vancouver, were injured and taken to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center.

Hospital staff did not have condition information on either of the men Friday.

State Patrol said that charges in the case are pending.
