Three of the county’s vehicle licensing subagent offices are working to improve their security following a series of break-ins, according to the County Auditor’s Office.
Three of the subagents — private businesses contracted with the county to perform some vehicle licensing services — saw a series of thefts March 25 and 26.
The Clark County Sheriff’s Office told the business owners and county officials that deputies were able to gather some evidence from the crime scenes, according to the auditor’s office.
The sheriff’s and auditor’s office met with subagents to discuss security, the auditor’s office said, and a number of new security measures were put in place immediately, and more are planned by the business owners, the auditor’s office said.
