Mountain View earns grant for dropout prevention program

Mountain View — Mountain View High School’s Multicultural Club was awarded a $20,000 grant from the Ford Motor Company and the League of United Latin American Citizens to implement a high school dropout prevention program. The Ford Driving Dreams Through Education grant will be used to create the program throughout the next two years. Amy Ruger, advisor to the club, traveled to Salt Lake City, Utah, to accept the grant in July at the League of United Latin American Citizens’ 86th Annual National Convention.
