Concordia University sophomore defender Ana Delgadillo was named Great Northwest Athletic Conference Women’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week.
Delgadillo, a Columbia River High School graduate who trained with the Washington Timbers club, anchored a Cavaliers defense that posted two shutouts last week, a 2-0 home win Sept. 21 over Southern Oregon and a scoreless road draw Saturday at Montana State-Billings.
Concordia (4-1-2) has not allowed a goal in more than 300 minutes.
Delgadillo led all Cavaliers field players with 104 minutes of playing time at MSU-Billings. She has started every game and leads the team with 576 minutes played.
Cross Country: Guenther second as WWU wins team title
Western Washington University senior Taylor Guenther trailed only teammate Brittany Grant as the Vikings claimed the team title at the Saint Martin’s University Cross Country Invitational on Saturday in Lacey.
