Admission to Fort Vancouver National Historic Site, as well as Washington state parks, will be free Saturday as part of National Public Lands Day.

Fort Vancouver typically charges a $5 fee for visitors 16 and older to enter the reconstructed stockade at 1001 E. Fifth St.

The 22nd annual National Public Lands Day will feature free admission to every National Park Service site. The Bureau of Land Management, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, and the USDA’s Forest Service also have all declared Saturday as a fee-free day.

In Washington, the State Parks and Recreation Commission has declared Saturday as free day; day-use visitors will not need a Discover Pass.
