Salmon Creek — The Vancouver Lions Club hosted its annual Duck Derby on Aug. 22 at Salmon Creek Regional Park, and saw about 1,500 rubber ducks released into Klineline Pond. The event raised a little more than $3,000 for Northwest Association of Blind Athletes, which will be used to stock an equipment trailer with sports and recreation equipment that the association will loan to schools and other organizations.
