Battle Ground — Adeena Rose Wade and 1,083 of her peers met up in Rosie the Riveter/WWII Home Front National Historical Park in Richmond, Calif., on Aug. 15, and all of them dressed as Rosie the Riveter. It was the largest gathering of Rosie the Riveter look-alikes in one spot in world history, as officially declared by the Guinness Book of World Records on Sept. 11. The previous record was set in May when 776 Rosies gathered in Ypsilanti, Mich. Wade played Rosie in the Living History Program at the Portland Rose Festival earlier this year, and traveled to the event with three other women involved in the festival.
