Evergreen Habitat for Humanity is repairing three homes Saturday in Vancouver’s Fruit Valley neighborhood as part of Brush with Kindness Week. About 20 volunteers will help three low-income families remove brush, repair siding and trim trees. It’s part of a larger effort to revitalize the neighborhood and enhance the quality of life.
Brush with Kindness Week runs through Saturday and is celebrated by almost 40 Habitat for Humanity affiliates. For more information about the local efforts, contact Heather Cochrun, community outreach coordinator for Evergreen Habitat for Humanity, at 360-737-1759 or volunteer@ehfh.org.
