Non-league football: Hockinson 49, Castle Rock 0

Hockinson quarterback Canon Racanelli threw four touchdown passes as the Hawks shut out Castle Rock 49-0.

On the team’s first offensive play, Racanelli threw a 69 yard bomb to Kedrick Johnson. Steven Carlisle finished the next possession with a 9-yard run for the touchdown, extending their lead 14-0.

The team had back-to-back interception returns for scores on the next two possessions for Castle Rock, as Cole Walker and Peter Schultz-Rathbun ran 20 and 38 yards, respectively, to the endzone.

Racanelli threw three more touchdowns in the second quarter, cementing the victory at 49-0. He finished with 203 yards on seven completions, four resulting in scores.

The stout Hawks defense never let the Castle Rock offense inside the redzone and forced five turnovers.
