Vancouver resident honored by Sierra Club

Hazel Dell — Don Steinke of Vancouver won a Special Achievement Award from the Sierra Club recently for his work fighting new oil terminals in Washington.

The Sierra Club is a grassroots environmental organization with more than 2 million members around the world.

Steinke is a member of the Loo Wit group, the local chapter of the Sierra Club serving Southwest Washington. He’s also vice chairman of the group’s executive board.
