Esther Short — Evergreen Habitat For Humanity’s 11th annual “Raising the Roof” fundraiser brought in more than $50,000 for the nonprofit, which will be used to build homes for local low income families.
More than 500 guests attended the event, which was held Sept. 9 at the Hilton Vancouver Washington. Carla Feltz, family community resource and engagement coordinator for Vancouver’s Washington Elementary School, was the keynote speaker.
At the breakfast, Dennis Mathews was honored with the 2015 Volunteer of the Year Award, Linda Reid received the Ray Johnson Award and Jennifer Rhodes was given the Community Supporter of the Year Award.
