Salvador Brotons has been the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra’s conductor and artistic director for 25 years now. The organization thinks that’s something to celebrate.

Brotons will be guest of honor on Sept. 26 at Royal Oaks Country Club during a journey of memories and live music called “Over the Rainbow,” featuring many players from the symphony. This event is the symphony’s annual fundraising gala, featuring live and silent auctions.

Doors open for cocktails and live music at 5:30. Dinner begins at 7 p.m. Royal Oaks Country Club is at 8917 N.E. Fourth Plain Blvd. in Vancouver.

Tickets are $125 each and available from vancouversymphony.org or by calling 260-735-7278.
