The Clark College women’s soccer team scored three second-half goals to forge a 3-3 draw with host Warner Pacific in a match played Tuesday.

Brooklyn Kates had a goal and an assist, and Sevannah Ware and Megan Bloom also scored for the Penguins.

“We’ve proven we can score goals, now we need to focus on preventing them,” Clark coach Sean Janson said.

Clark (3-1-1) will open league play at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday against Chemeketa at Willamette University in Salem, Ore.

• The Clark men’s soccer team beat Columbia Basin 1-0 on Tyler Barr’s goal in the 77th minute. The Penguins improved to 1-2-1.

• The Clark volleyball team opened its home schedule by winning two matches Tuesday.

Clark beat Yakima Valley 3-0 as Janessa Mast and Melisa Lujca each tallied seven kills.

Clark then beat Centralia 3-0 behind Livia Strandberg’s 13 kills.
