A suspicious package found in the lobby of Vancouver Police Department’s East Precinct was determined to be not hazardous.
Police personnel evacuated the building, 520 S.E. 155th Ave., for about an hour after the package was discovered at about 2 p.m., spokeswoman Kim Kapp said.
The Metro Explosive Disposal Unit responded and upon investigating, determined the package to nothing of danger, Kapp said.
The Girl Cops Are Awesome event, scheduled to begin at 3:30 p.m., is scheduled to happen as expected.
