A Vancouver man pleaded not guilty Friday in Multnomah (Ore.) County court to charges of promoting prostitution.

According to the KOIN 6 news organization, a Vancouver man was arrested Thursday by officers from the Portland Police Bureau’s Sex Trafficking Unit on suspicion of two counts of promoting prostitution and one count of attempting to promote prostitution.

An undercover police investigation found that Nicholas Clifton Jones offered to drive johns to and from meetings with prostitutes for $30 a ride, and that he found those johns online, KOIN reported.

Court records show that Jones is a resident of Vancouver and works in the technology industry, KOIN reported, adding that attempts to reach Jones for comment were unsuccessful.
