Digital pen maker Wacom to release Bamboo Spark
The new Bamboo Spark is built on the use of a smart pen and a smart folio. Users can write with the smart pen on standard A5 paper. An EMR, or Electro-Magnetic Resonance, board in a smart folio communicates with the pen and preserves the written words or images for storage and editing.
A Bamboo Spark app, which can be downloaded onto an OS or Android device using Bluetooth smart technology, is used to store and open documents on multiple platforms.
The Bamboo Spark is available in three models, all for $159.95.
Japan-based Wacom has its offices for the Americas in Vancouver. The company intends to relocate that office early next year to Portland’s Pearl District.
