Parkinson’s walk set for Sept. 13

The Parkinson’s Resources of Oregon is hosting its 11th annual fundraising walk in Vancouver on Sunday, Sept. 13.
The Sole Support Walk for Parkinson’s begins at 1:30 p.m. at Esther Short Park. Check-in begins at noon.
There is no registration free for the event, but those who raise $100 or more receive a “Parkinson’s hero” T-shirt. To register, go to www.solesupport.org or call 800-426-6806.
The event offers 1K and 5K routes that are wheelchair, walker and stroller friendly. The event will also include a community partner fair, a kid zone, live music and prizes.
Money raised during the event helps to fund Parkinson’s disease programs and support services in Oregon and Southwest Washington.
