The Washington State Department of Health is kicking off a series of meetings as part of its rule-making process regarding the new medical marijuana database being created.
Lawmakers gave the state approval to create a medical marijuana registry when they passed the so-called Cannabis Patient Protection Act this year.
The department will discuss the content of the proposed rules and the timeline. The public will have a chance to provide comment.
The meeting will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. Thursday at Educational Service District 112, 2500 N.E. 65th Ave. in Vancouver.
