A skateboarder slammed into a stopped car while riding down the roadway on Northwest 99th Street near Columbia River High School on Tuesday evening.

Clark County Sheriff’s Deputy Sgt. Chad Rothenberger said the female rider was on a longboard and riding in the center turn lane when she hit the car around 6 p.m.

Rothenberger thought the vehicle was stopped to turn off the road when the longboarder ran into it.

The rider was hurt, Rothenberger said, though not seriously.

More information about the incident was not available Tuesday night.
