Save the Date: Fun Halloween, fall activities abound; concerts coming

Under the autumn leaves, more than 12,000 pounds of apples will be pressed into fresh cider by volunteers during the annual Apple Cider Pressing at the Cedar Creek Grist Mill, 43907 N.E. Grist Mill Road, Woodland. Visitors can help crank the press, listen to the bluegrass jam on the back deck or tour the historic mill starting at 9 a.m. today, with the event going until all the apples are pressed, approximately around 4 p.m. While admission is free, there’s a $4 suggested donation to take home a half-gallon of cider. 360-225-5832 or http://cedarcreekgristmill.org

Carmen Caraballo will celebrate her birthday with “Carmen’s Favorite Things: free concert and benefit,” a community event featuring her favorite things about Vancouver. Tickets for “The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe” are now on sale. The production of C.S.
