OLYMPIA — Salmon fishing is closed beginning Tuesday in Willapa Bay and its tributaries, with four exceptions, due to weak coho returns.

The Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife will allow angling in the Naselle River from Highway 4 to the Salme Bridge with a daily limit of two fish. Only chum and hatchery coho may be retained.

The Willapa River will stay open from Highway 6 to Fork Creek. The daily limit is two fish, but only chum or hatchery coho.

Fork Creek will be open for two salmon per day, but only chum or hatchery coho.

The North Nemah River will be open through Nov. 30. The daily limit is one chum.
