CAMAS — The La Center Wildcats tuned up for the postseason by beating Seton Catholic while both teams survived a constant rain Saturday afternoon at Doc Harris Stadium.
Cole Judd and Jeffery Mayolo each scored two touchdowns, and the La Center defense had little trouble against the Cougars in a 41-14 victory to conclude the Trico League season.
La Center, the No. 2 seed, will host Eatonville (tentatively scheduled for Friday) in a district playoff with a berth to the Class 1A state playoffs on the line.
Judd finished with 120 yards on 10 carries. He also had a 61-yard kickoff return to set up his first touchdown of the game, a score that put La Center up by 21 points early in the second half.
Judd then made it 34-6 with a 74-yard touchdown run.
Mayolo had touchdown runs of 17 and 33 yards. He finished with 63 yards on four carries.
Jake Wise caught a touchdown pass from Zach Galster and was dominant on defense with three sacks and five more tackles for loss.
Galster threw for one touchdown and ran for another.
The Wildcats held Seton Catholic to 28 yards of offense in the first half.
Seton Catholic’s Jonathan Stell scored on a 1-yard keeper in the second quarter, then capped the scoring in the fourth quarter with a 10-yard TD run from Stell.
Noah Schenwinski led the Cougars defense with two sacks and another tackle for loss.
