2A GSHL football: Hockinson 53, R.A. Long 0

The Hockinson Hawks rode a 27 point second quarter to a dominant 2A Greater St. Helens victory over the R.A. Long Lumberjacks, recording their seventh shutout of the season, 53-0.

The Hawks had already clinched the league championship but this victory helped send notice that they could be a team to be reckoned with in the playoffs.

Quarterback Canon Racanelli threw three first-half touchdowns, two to Cameron Loos. Racanelli finished 10 of 19 with 280 yards and Loos hauled in three passes for 194 yards.

Steven Carlisle added 141 yards on the ground on only eight carries as the Hawks outgained the Lumberjacks for the game 583-91.
