Woodland — More than $2,000 was raised for the Woodland YMCA Building Fund at Woodland High School’s homecoming game. At the game, Burgerville donated food and supplies, and had employees volunteer on site for the Pulled Pork Homecoming Event. The Woodland Community Swimming Pool Committee and YMCA of Columbia-Willamette are teaming up to build a 40,000-square-foot Woodland YMCA, with a lap pool, sports court, exercise equipment, child care and locker rooms. The facility will be owned by the community, with funds coming from individual and corporate gifts. To learn more about the Woodland YMCA, go to www.woodlandymca.org.
