Ridgefield — The Ridgefield School District technology plan is getting an update, and the technology committee is seeking input from interested community members. The 19-person committee is made up of teachers, administrators and parents, along with community members and business partners, and has been researching the effective use of technology in instruction. The district’s last technology plan came in 2010, which led to upgrading hardware, software, wireless networks and switches, and the district began providing professional development for staff focused on integrating technology in the classroom. “The finished product should help guide the district towards a technology-rich future with students interacting and creating new technology-driven learning opportunities,” said Chris Griffith, the district’s assistant superintendent and a member of the committee, in a release from the district. The committee set up a survey for interested parties to fill out, which can be found on the district’s website: www.ridge.k12.wa.us.
