The Union girls swimming team beat Camas 154-124 to secure its eight consecutive league title on Wednesday.
Union coach Dave Shoup said it was the Titans’ 80th consecutive dual meet win over the past six seasons.
Those wins include victories over Prairie (195-64) and Battle Ground (181-65) also on Wednesday.
Livi Cox led the Titans with a win in the 200-meter individual medley and Shelby Conrad won the 200 freestyle. Both swimmers helped the Titans win the 200 medley relay.
Heritage’s Colleen Woods won the 100 butterfly and 100 backstroke, while Camas’ Hannah Clayton won the 50 and 100 freestyle events.
1A cross country
La Center’s Jenna Melanson cruised to victory by more than a minute as she led the Wildcats to the girls team title at the Trico League Championship meet in White Salmon.
Melanson covered the 5,000-meter course at Husum Hills Golf Course in 21 minutes, 14 seconds, well ahead of Haley Blair of Columbia-White Salmon (22:12).
La Center won the girls team title over Seton Catholic 29-58. La Center’s Sierra Harris was third and Emily Graham was fourth.
Kalama’s Jarod Hulsizer won the boys race in 17:52 as Columbia-White Salmon beat La Center 34-59 for the team title. La Center’s Saige Keep paced the Wildcats by placing fourth in 19:03.
