Salmon Creek — During September, Salmon Creek Plastic Surgery offered facials for $25 and donated all proceeds to Furry Friends, giving $5,365 to the no-kill cat shelter. Of that money, $2,500 will go to Connie’s Fund, which is used for medical expenses above the normal cost of such things as spaying or neutering cats. The rest of the money will go to Furry Friends’ building fund, as nonprofit organizers look for a permanent facility for the cats. They have to vacate their current location in about a year.
