1A Trico football: La Center 49, Columbia-White Salmon 21

Behind a strong running game and big plays in the passing game, the La Center Wildcats dispatched the Columbia-White Salmon Bruins 49-21.

Dalton Morgan led the Wildcats with 135 yards rushing.

The Bruins hung tough for most of the game, except for the second quarter, which ended up being the difference Friday night.

Kicked off by a 44-yard TD run by Morgan, the Wildcats scored 34 consecutive points.

White Salmon quarter back Austin Bucklin had a nice game, with 212 passing yards and three touchdowns.

But it was not enough to overcome the middle part of the game where the Wildcats dominated.

With the win, the Wildcats move to 3-3 overall and 2-0 in the league.

The loss moves the Bruins to 4-2 overall and 0-2 in league.
